In Vermont’s NEK, where farm and forest still grow together

Humble Roots Farm is a growing first generation dairy farm in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
Since 2020, we’ve been slowly restoring old Vermont farmland that had long since grown over around an old log cabin and hunting camp. Through rotational grazing, tree planting, and careful land management, we continue working to improve the land each year. Our goal is to create a balanced system where pasture, livestock, and the surrounding landscape all work together.
As first generation farmers, we’re learning every day while taking a humble approach to building a longterm future in dairy and livestock agriculture here in rural northeastern Vermont.

Our farm is home to dairy goats, laying hens, and other livestock raised with a focus on thoughtful management and respect for the land.
We are currently focused on developing a licensed goat milk creamery to bring farm fresh goat milk and handcrafted dairy products to our community. While we work through the licensing and construction process, we continue raising our herd of registered dairy goats and offering breeding stock, pasture raised goat meat, fresh eggs, and other seasonal farm products throughout the year.
As our farm grows, we hope to continue expanding our dairy operation while preserving the values of sustainable agriculture and responsible stewardship that our farm was built on.
